Alternate process

 Acrylic gel medium.
I took this picture of my dog Bruno on the day of the big snow fall we had over the winter break, he was roling around in the snow and got snow all over his body, thats when i took the picture he looked slightly to the right and i snapped the shot. i used aprox 10 layers of the acrylic gel medium and then washed the paper off and was left with this

Silk screen:
this picture was taken in toronto, in the picture you see trees on the left hand side a bridge on the right and water takes up most of the foreground, i printed a solid colour on the front and a three toned colour thing on the back because i was told you need more than one colour.

Britt of venus

This picture takes the birth of venus a painting by botticelli and takes venus's face out and adds the face of britt instead. i cropped out the face and blended the area aroung britts hat to make it look like the hair is contained in her beanie, i cloned the background where the hair used to be and made it so that venus's orange hair was no longer there instead just a continuation of the background and her hair starts again after the beanie

Mixed Lighting

shutter speed 1/800

light used: light from the sun pointing from the right side of the photo and there is a light used at naval level pointing up towards the face. it was about 2 feet away from him.

the emotion i tried to capture was being happy and relaxed, i did this by asking the subject to stand and just relax, i took alot of pictures of him and then he started to laugh this picture was the last one before he busted out in laughter which i believe shows him being the most relaxed and happy.

Painting With #Light

shutter speed 15 seconds

half way through the exposure i turned the red light on for 1 second

had someone walk around with green flash light on their belt and flash light to outline

shutter speed 15 seconds

half way through the exposure i turned the red light on for 1 second

just used the flashlight

while taking these pictures i tried to capture a feel of inanimate objects by outlining them and trying to add a flow in between them,  the purpose of the green light was to add more colour and a third element so the focus isn't just on the vents. i decided to turn the red lights on half way through to add a background colour and so that you could see whats going on in the room instead of the light being the only thing you see

Studio Lighting

i tried to capture the image when they weren't completely ready like in the last 2 picture they aren't smiling nor are they even looking at the camera, in the first picture the pose was not planned it was spontaneous and captured britt looking at the camera and adam not really knowing what was going on.

Robert Capa

Robert was a famous war time photographer who covered five different wars through his pictures. i admire Robert because he took a very uncommon approach to his pictures. unlike other war time photographers that would take their pictures from a safe distance Robert would get right in the action often going in the trenches with the soldiers to capture the perfect shot. i like this trait about him because he is willing to risk his own safety to execute his plan and his dream picture and make it come to life. the way he took his pictures really makes you feel like you were apart of the war and seeing it through the eyes of someone who actually fought as the pictures were taken from in the action. because of all the risks that Capa took to get the right picture he is one of my favourite photographers. to learn more about Robert click here one of Roberts photos
